Today (for the next half hour or so anyway) is the forty-ninth anniversary of the first broadcast of Doctor Who. One year, then, until the silly string and streamers come out for the Big Five-Oh. I think that's pretty damn spectacular for a sci-fi show with dodgy sets (though the sets have been better in NuWho). I'm planning to count down with 50 Doctor Who "somethings" over the next year. I'll post one a week (with a couple of weeks off) and I'll start with the easiest. For those of you who follow(ed) The Doctor:

I remember... doing the Time Warp...

Actually, I honestly can't remember the last time I Time Warped which means it's been *FAR* too long.

Guess what the Halloween movie is at Vue this year? I looked on the website and saw those lips and had an inner moment of squee.

I think the screen is possibly a hundred seats max so I've got to decide if we're sitting at the back shouting out obscenities with me being the lone audience participatory voice. I doubt that we're going to be able to take the requisite props in. *sadface*

I'm going to have to re watch RHPS (and possibly Shock Treatment) just to make sure I don't suffer with any embarrassing premature enunciations on the night.

Oops...

I just accidentally swallowed the ring pull from my drinks can. Of course it was accidental, you wouldn't do that on purpose and I didn't think of checking that it was still attached to the can.

I foresee plenty of fibre in my near future.

Under the cut I have two contenders for the “Gee, Martin Freeman Should Probably Have All the BAFTAS” Postcard Project. Apologies for shocking phone photos as I can't find my camera. D:

I like Postcard A because a) contrary to popular local mythology, Sir Arthur was not PFC's first goalie and likely never played at Fratton Park and b) I walk up these steps on the way home from work each night. I like Postcard B because, dude, penny farthing and impressive facial hair, what's not to love?

Which postcard should I send?

Postcard B

Both cards, you've got the stamps and MF deserves all the postcards, damn it, all of them
